Founder of Kiiko Style of Acupuncture, Kiiko Matsumoto is internationally known for her scholarly 
work
 on acupuncture and interpretation of Chinese Classic texts. Kiiko has published several 
fundamental texts on acupuncture in the U.S and is regularly publishing articles in the Ido-No-Nippon 
acupuncture magazine in Japan. She has also completed two video series for this company.

Kiiko is mostly known for her ability to integrate the work of very important Japanese 
acupuncture Masters
 among them Master Nagano, Master Kawai and Dr Manaka into a coherent, 
clinically effective style.

Kiiko is regularly teaching acupuncture around the world and in the U.S. Her vast clinical experience 
and powerful teaching style are her trademark
. When she is not traveling or teaching, you can 
find her in her Newton Highlands, MA clinic where she has a loyal following of patients. She is sought

BIOGRAPHY:

Kiiko Matsumoto is a Japanese-born acupuncturist well known by the larger acupuncture community for her unique palpation-based style. Her work integrates deep research and knowledge of the Chinese classics with the styles of some of the most famous Japanese masters. She practices in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts and frequently travels to teach at American and Canadian acupuncture schools and around the world.

 

EDUCATION:

Ms. Matsumoto graduated in 1980 from Japan Central Acupuncture School and has been licensed and practicing since 1983. She apprenticed in Japan with prominent teachers including Master Kiyoshi Nagano, Master Yoshio Manaka and Master Kawaii.

 

TEACHING:

Ms. Matsumoto regularly teaches her style of acupuncture around the world and in the U.S. She has a regular annual teaching schedule at the Tristate College of Acupuncture, Eastern School of Acupuncture and New England School of Acupuncture; at these schools and others her style is part of the core curriculum. Her dedication to researching and understanding the Chinese medical classics makes her one of the most sought-after authorities on acupuncture. Her students find her seminars to be practical and dynamic.
